Our founder Jim McCracken started the organisation in 1991. We are a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation, our primary aim is to provide employment support training and to alleviate poverty by helping people to retain and secure jobs. We also provide low cost holiday respite accommodation and other services which support individuals and community groups. We are recognised as a charitable organisation and our registration number is SC020732. Although we are a charity, our belief has always been, that we are "first and foremost a self sustaining enterprise". Following through with this belief, we have created a financially sustainable organisation with the ability to adapt and change as and when required.

Since 1991 we have successfully delivered a wide range of contracts and have had the support of many organisations, both private and third sector.

Jim McCracken
Company Manager & Founder

Since 1980 Jim has worked with the voluntary sector both in the UK & USA. He has a wealth of experience in developing and managing community initiatives. Over the past 30 years he has assisted many people in gaining employment and skills through the various programmes he has managed.

Rhona Burnett
Company Secretary

Rhona has worked for us since 1992. Prior to joining us she was employed as a manager for organisations including Enable, GrandMet Trust and Community Industry. She has delivered various employability programmes for us and is now responsible for all of our accounting needs. She also co-ordinates our holiday centre.

Samuel Hannah
Chairman Of The Board

Our chairman has been actively involved with our organisation since it's beginnings. He was the first person to place an employability contract with us in his previous capacity of Operations Manager with MI Technologies Ltd. Sam continues to bring wisdom and objectivity to our organisation.

Patrick Kelly

Pat has established a Consultancy business and consults on Economic Development, Research & Evaluation. Prior to establishing the consultancy business, Pat was Business Development Manager with Gorbals Initiative and Operations Manager with GrandMet Trust. Pat was also responsible for delivering our Renfrewshire employment/ Community action programmes.

Joseph Woolley

Joe was employed with us from 1995 to 2002. During this period he successfully managed the St. Enoch Training Centre and was particularly successful in training and assessing participants working towards gaining their ECDL qualification. Prior to joining us, Joe was employed as Training Manager for British Telecom.

Margaret Robinson

Margaret was employed with us as an employment advisor, prior to this she was an advisor with CAB and employed as a Fundraising Manager with Barnardos and Help the Aged, where she was involved with liasing with local authorities, managing teams of both staff and volunteers, and coordinating fundraising in the West of Scotland. Margaret is currently employed part time as a Receptionist with the NHS.
